Alchemist, an institution for avant-garde fashion, in April 2014 inaugurates the new concept shop dedicated exclusively to jewelry in the Miami Design District. Renowned architect Rene Gonzalez collaborates with Alchemist for the third time, after the award-winning stores in Miami Beach, creating a treasure chest. Here Alchemist joins the most prestigious brands of high jewelery including Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Bulgari, and Harry Winston. The shop is located between Piaget and Audemar Piguet in the Palm Court designed by Sou Fujimoto. Here is Miami's answer to Place Vendome, this is in fact the new shopping mecca that perhaps surpasses the famous Parisian district. From ancient inspiration to modern innovation: the brands present at Alchimist offer a new world of jewelry available exclusively in Miami. In the display cases the creations of Lydia Courteille, Garrard, Abraxas Rex, Stephen Webster, Gaydamak, Fernando Jorge, Lyn Ban, Luis Morais, Wilfredo Rosado and the bespoke watches of Bamford Watch Department are displayed. There are also the capsule collections signed by Alchemist, the result of collaborations with various artists, including the one with the model and designer Erin Wasson. The store's mirrored rose gold facade is like a jewel set among the stones, while the high granite walls with their shades seem to lead visitors to the core of the earth, and the origin of Alchemist's precious gems. Alchemist Roma owners and Erika Cohen said of the Miami Design District space: "Over the years we have been deeply passionate about discovering new talent and the unique craftsmanship that resides in each piece of jewelry. We are thrilled to present these special creations in the Alchemist spirit. "
