Simone Kergen, who manages the company, remembers: “in 1960 my Father Léon Kergen and his friend Victor Wagner joined forces with Franz Bouillon to develop the latter's business: FRANZ BOUILLON & Cie with headquarters in the capital. The company specialized in the sale of automotive spare parts and placed special emphasis on careful customer service. It should be noted that at that time owning an automobile was not common and that many owners still carried out maintenance and minor repairs themselves. When in 1963 Franz Bouillon left the company, it was renamed "AUTOPARTS Luxembourg" (APL). A name that even today, 50 years later, is synonymous with high quality and personalized service. The 250m2 store, which had 4 employees, was then located on rue de Strasbourg in the station district. 1974: THE BIG MOVEMENT TO CESSANGE. Soon the small company came out of all its gong due to an explosion of its clientele and began to move in 1974 with its 40 employees in a brand new building at 70, rue de Cessange. A new phase of on-site expansion took place in 1982 and in 2004 we had the opportunity to acquire the neighboring building at 68, rue de Cessange, which made it possible to substantially enlarge the sales area. In 2008 APL got closer to its customers by creating a subsidiary in Ettelbruck. So today APL-WORLD of PARTS, thanks to its 70 highly specialized employees, builds Car Washes for cars, buses, trucks and even trains, equips garages with the latest technologies such as "AQUALIFT" which exceeds environmental standards. . The company's IT has one million reference products and the warehouse has 100,000 most common items in permanent stock.
