Around the end of 1953, a group of young people set as a goal and as a dream the establishment of an association with national, sports and at the same time raising the educational and social level of the young people who would become members. On April 14, 1954 and after a general assembly of several members of the National Associations and New Guilds, headed by Mr. Christakis Savvidis, a proposal was made for the establishment of a sports club called the APOLLONA Limassol Sports Music Club. The assembly approved the proposal and so from the 14th of that month in the years 1954 APOLLO was born. The first board of our team consisted of: Charalambos Lympouridis (Secretary), Andrea Psyllidis (Treasurer), Antonakis Fourlas (Consultant), Meli Charalambous (Consultant), Andrea Theocharous (Consultant) (Consultant) Andreas Angelou Panou ). The first football team was created under the guidance of Antonakis Fourlas, giving many games in the countryside. As a result, it became more and more popular and so the flow of new members was growing rapidly. That is why it was decided to send a letter to the KOP dated March 23, 1955 for the accession of APOLLO to it. On October 16, 1955, the Cyprus Football Federation (KOP) included our team in its ranks in the 2nd category. The team with captain Argyris Gavalas won the B 'Division Championship in the period 1956-1957 and the promotion to the A' category, where it is until today. Through the course of all these years, Apollo managed to win three championships (1991, 1994, 2006), nine cups (1966, 1967, 1986, 1992, 2001, 2010, 2013, 2016, 2017) and three KOP Shields (2006, 2016, 2017), while he also had several successes in European competitions including four qualifiers in the UEFA Europa League groups.
