The company was founded on November 10, 1989 under the name R. STAHL GesmbH., Fördertechnik, in Linz and was a 100% subsidiary of R. STAHL Germany, an internationally active group, division Material Handling. In 1992 the company moved from Linz to Steyregg, where the company's own design, production, assembly and service departments were continuously expanded. At the beginning of 2006, there was a strategic reorientation in the global group and STAHL CraneSystems GmbH was formed.
