Soaps, perfumes, sewing threads, buttons, clothing, haberdashery, beachwear and underwear were brought together seamlessly in order to satisfy the most disparate needs of consumers. The dark years of the recession did not give hope for anything good for the trade, but the determination of these two brothers then in their thirties, also overcame a motivated rampant pessimism and helped them to face even greater sacrifices during the war. Having overcome the crisis and with the experience acquired, the Bagella brothers also created other points of sale in via Luzzatti and Piazza Castello that "set the standard" for the taste and reliability given by the quality of the items offered. Back then the elegant man wore “Merz” shirts, “Diva” ties and “Sama” knitwear. The women's socks were called “PRM” and were sold using a far-sighted packaging intuition: in an elegant box that many ladies still keep today. In 1950 the first national “Leo Windows” prize was also awarded to the shop on Corso V. Emanuele for the best showcase organized by Metro Goldwyn Mayer. Today the shop, managed by the heirs who have been awarded the title of "Historical Shop" by the Region of Sardinia, continues the tradition distinguishing itself for the marketing of the so-called Sardinian Clothing.
