IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WHEEL: BICYCLE ACCESSORIES AND SPARE PARTS FOR YOUR BIKE “Take the bike from us - and little will be left”, in 1883 the physicist Ernst Mach discovered that without this versatile round part, a lot of good things would disappear from our world. Although the Lord did not refer exclusively to the bicycle in his statement at the time, we also ask ourselves: What would the world be without the bicycle? Fortunately, we don't really have to imagine what life would be like without racing bikes, gravel bikes, mountain bikes, children's bikes, e-bikes ... Because thanks to the convincing plan of the two bike-components founders Marcus Wenkel and Klaus Hoenig to provide passionate bikers with essential components for their bikes, everything has been going well for 20 years. In every season and every type of cycling. During an evening in a bar, the two mechanical engineering students at RWTH Aachen University came up with the idea of setting up a shipping company for bicycle parts and bicycle accessories. Why? Because they were both - and still are - passionate bikers. They were and are aware of the importance of suitable, high-quality accessories for bikers. Her first shop went online in 1998. The business, which was initially run from the shared flat of the two students, quickly got going. And the apartment - which also includes an office, warehouse and packing station - quickly became too small.
