Biokyklos was founded with the main objective of promoting organic products in Cyprus. The Organization is the result of cooperation between the non-for-profit organization Anakyklos Environmental and organic farmers and producers of organic products. Anakyklos, following on its decisive contribution to the “management and reuse of recyclable materials” through the clothing collection programme (purple bins) during the last seven years, is now leading the establishment and operation of Biokyklos. In this way, it places into orbit another key objective, present from the beginning of its foundation in 2010, «the promotion of biodiversity and organic farming and protection from the cultivation and spread of genetically modified products».
