For me, as for so many others, there is nothing better than the great outdoors. And as I have always loved to build, draw, and design things I wanted to bring the great outdoors in to my home. Living in a ski resort such as Engelberg (Switzerland), with its diverse seasons and weather exposed mountain environment, is a part of a lifestyle. It is a place of sports, adventures and culture. But it is also an oasis of serenity and calm. A place to relax and find inspiration in. So to get the feeling of the mountain world in to my home I started building furniture and accessories out of weather beaten driftwood collected from the rivers around Engelberg. And by adding different textiles and accessories I created my own unique oasis at home. My goal has become to create designs that reflects the mountain world's diverse seasons and weather exposed environment and sharing it with others. My designs represents a way of life, a culture, our Mountain Culture.
