Bücherstube

The bookstore was opened in 1985 as a branch of the Hippolyt bookstore St. Pölten and was owned by the Lower Austrian Press House. The already very small retail space on Rathausplatz had to be shared with the NÖN editorial team at the beginning. After the takeover of Hippolyt by the Libro Group (Amadeus), the Horner branch was up for sale and was taken over by Gerhard Tschugguel in 1999. After a continuous expansion of the range, we soon reached the spatial limits and finally moved to our current location in 2004.
