The Casa de los Caramelos is currently located at Gran Vía Ramón y Cajal 34, in Valencia, it has more than 60 years of history and experience in the candy and gifts sector. The story begins in 1953, when Mr. Vicente García Tamarit transformed what until then had been a greengrocer, called “Frutería Paquita”, on C / Muro de Santa Ana, into a candy and gift shop; arriving to occupy with its establishments almost the entirety of this street. In 1969, his son, Vicente García López, accompanied him on this adventure; They expanded the business and opened the current store on C / Játiva 20, and together they became a small company, an icon in Valencia and a benchmark in the sector of sweets and gifts for children. Probably the establishment with the most candies per square meter, or at least that is how many of our customers and visitors consider it. In 1995, Vicente García Tamarit divided the business between his two sons; his daughter Emilia staying, the establishment of Muro de Santa Ana, which was renamed "Casa de los Dulces"; and his son Vicente the premises of C / Játiva, maintaining the name “Casa de los Caramelos”. In 2003 the founder, Vicente García Tamarit passed away. Until then, father and son have been side by side with The House of Candy. Vicente García López, the son of the founder, continues the legacy left by his father, until his death in 2015. Since that year they have been María Jesús Pérez Álvaro and María Jesús García Pérez (Susa), Vicente's wife and daughter, who have the mission to continue the legacy of this family business, Casa de los Caramelos.
