This unique establishment is an obligatory reference of the traditional Sevillian physiognomy. Founded in 1901, it has a family tradition that goes back six generations. The journey of this company began in Levantine lands. The main office was located in Gandía and there was a branch in Alcoy. The grandfather of the current owners of El Cronómetro came to Seville due to various circumstances and found one of the best commercial enclaves in the city, currently the watchmaker's headquarters. The Sanchís family, owner of the company, was concerned from the first moment with maintaining the initial image of the premises. Since 1901 the appearance of the premises has not changed much, initially there was only one clock on the facade, now it has six. The Chronometer also has an industrial watchmaking department where it has contributed to project the construction of the monumental Water Clock, installed in the lake of La Isla de la Cartuja, or the restoration of the clock that, since the 18th century, guided the prayers of the monks who inhabited the Monastery of the Cartuja. In short, El Cronómetro is one of the most traditional establishments in Seville. It has old and unique pieces that will soon be part of the museum that the place will house with salvaged pieces from the wonderful collection of watches owned by its founder. Among its careful clientele are the most select families of Andalusia and members of the Royal Family, they can be found from luxury brands such as ROLEX, PATEK PHILIPPE, JAEGER LE-COULTRE, BREITLING, LONGINES ...
