“An idea conquers the world” - when our founder and owner Torsten Toeller thought about a pet supplies shop in Germany on his return from a trip to the USA, he was initially laughed at for his idea. With his first "Freßnapf" market in Erkelenz (North Rhine-Westphalia) he almost failed financially in 1990. But Torsten Toeller persevered and believed in his idea and his dream. Today, 31 years later, Torsten Toeller's idea as Fressnapf | Maxi Zoo developed into Europe's number one in pet supplies. At the side of strong partners and a team of now more than 10,000 people in eleven European countries.
