Gabor

The roots of the Gabor company go back to a shop selling shoes and leather goods that Pius Gabor opened in Groß-Strehlitz in 1919. After the Second World War, in 1949, Pius' sons Bernhard and Joachim dared to start over. Using the simplest means, they founded the B. & J. Gabor women's shoe factory in Barmstedt near Hamburg - the forerunner of today's Gabor Shoes AG, which is now based in Rosenheim in Upper Bavaria.
