In 1875, the young master shoemaker Johann Ludwig Görtz opened a small shoe shop in Hamburg Barmbek. Back then, the 14 square meters of shop space contained everything that has made our success to this day: the courage to go our own way, good quality and a great passion for shoes. This laid the foundation for a successful family business - with values that have made Görtz number 1 in the quality shoe market.
