HobbyZoo was born back in 1979, at the hands of Mr. Antonio Castaño Carranza and his wife, Mrs. Carmen Castillo. The passion for nature, the strong entrepreneurial character and the great capacity for work of both are the true foundations of our company. Back then they were florists and had their own business. Antonio had previously worked with fish and loved the experience, so he decided to market them. This was a great success. The public was delighted. Such was the success that they put the flowers aside and a few months later, on April 7, 1979, they opened the first HobbyZoo store, specializing in companion animals. From that very moment, a path of hard work, great efforts, studies, trips began ... but luckily, also of great successes. The HobbyZoo team begins to grow, the stores multiply and the expansion begins throughout the national territory. Great fans of the animal world, professionals in the sector and specialists begin to work with us. In 1999, with more than 40 stores open, they decided to change the way they managed their business, and turned all their trusted people, who until then were store managers, into franchisees. The family grows!. The formula was a great success and since then everything has gone exceptionally well.
