At the end of the seventies, when cross-country skiing was still very modest in Davos and Switzerland in general, Andy Hofmänner opened his first cross-country ski shop in an old wooden shed in Davos Platz. Hard work and a lot of ambition were required in the first few years, and last but not least, a lot of perseverance. As a pioneer for the Nordic variant of skiing, he was initially determined to play a minor role alongside all the alpine sports shops. With the emergence of better infrastructure and the growing interest of the population in cross-country skiing, Andy Hofmänner's shop became increasingly established. This was followed by the entry of his brother Jack and the move to the new, modern premises on the opposite side of Mattastrasse. Where customers from all over the world still come today. For advice, for a ski test or simply to talk about the most beautiful sport in the world! In summer 2020 the two long-term employees and companions Markus "Speedy" and Maurus Kehl took over the business. Passionate cross-country skiers themselves since childhood, they run the business with the same enthusiasm and energy as the Hofmann brothers have exemplified for more than 40 years!
