In 1959 Julian Blu was born in Ravenna, a boutique destined to become one of the first luxury multibrands in Italy. Giuliano Zabberoni, Julian for fashion and friends, in fact, together with his first wife Lia Randi, decided to take the reins of the family business, orienting the ancient haberdashery towards high fashion clothing and accessories and thus starting a new commercial positioning. In 1963 Julian Blu opened a second boutique in Milano Marittima, Julian Fashion, exclusive dealer of important brands such as Gianfranco Ferrè, Giorgio Armani and Loro Piana, but also high fashion bridal boutiques. Milano Marittima became Julian's only headquarters within a few years. The creative mind of Giuliano, who in those years also worked in Paris with luxury leather goods, decided to expand the brand portfolio by opening a second boutique in the seaside resort, Julian Young, with lines dedicated to a younger audience. The company is now led by his daughter Sabina Zabberoni and Giuliano's partner, Anzia Alici, who together have continued the stylistic research by combining the selection of the most famous consolidated brands such as Balenciaga, Balmain, Dolce & Gabbana, Givenchy, Gucci, Saint Laurent to that of emerging and contemporary brands. Julian Fashion confirms itself as a family business when Giulia Tondini, daughter of Sabina, decided in 2012 to position the company on the well-known Farfetch marketplace and in 2014 to launch the julian-fashion.com website all over the world. Between 2019 and 2020, the company strengthens its retail positioning at the regional level, taking over two historic boutiques located in the historic center of Rimini and two more in Lido degli Estensi. Today Julian Fashion has 7 multi-brand stores in the Emilia-Romagna area, a direct e-commerce with international reach, two operational offices and more than 100 collaborators.
