JYSK

JYSK is an international retail chain that sells “everything for the home”. JYSK is owned by the family behind the Lars Larsen Group. The founder, Lars Larsen, is known throughout Denmark as the country's leading retailer who always has a "great offer". In 1979 he opened his first branches in Denmark in Aarhus, Denmark's second largest city - where it can still be found today - Larsen had big ambitions, even if he didn't realize how fast his company would grow. Larsen has opened many more JYSK Sengetøjslager (the original name until 2001) across Denmark. In 1984 he opened the first branch beyond the national borders in neighboring Germany under the name DÄNISCHES BETTENLAGER.
