Kelten Buchhandlung

Kelten Buchhandlung Hallein The Kelten Buchhandlung is a small, charming bookshop in the heart of Hallein's old town, right at the beginning of the pedestrian zone. The Celtic bookstore was founded in 1991 by Brigitte Stadlbauer. The location was and is the Ritzbergerhaus at the beginning of Thunstraße, the most important entrance gate into the old town. For the Kelten Buchhandlung and its employees, service is more than just a word. It is the basis of our thoughts and actions, because we see ourselves not only as "booksellers", but in the truest sense of the word as a service provider for everything to do with books. We have often had a longstanding relationship with our customers and we will do everything in our power to keep them satisfied with commitment in the future. Since July 1, 2020, the Celtic bookstore in Hallein has been sailing as the Stierle Celtic bookstore under the umbrella of the Wagner'schen university bookstore. The Wagner'sche is the oldest bookshop in Tyrol. As early as 1639, the journeyman book printer Michael Wagner received official permission from Princess Claudia von Medici to print and sell books. The company was family-owned for 9 generations. Markus Renk has been leading the historically anchored Innsbruck bookstore and his team into a modern future since 2015. As early as the beginning of the 19th century, the Wagner'sche university bookstore had branches in Vorarlberg and South Tyrol. This tradition will be revived in January 2020 with the takeover of the Stierle bookstore in Salzburg. We are all the more pleased that the second location in the state of Salzburg can be opened just over six months later. The bookstore currently employs three booksellers. The focus is on: fiction, non-fiction, children's and youth as well as travel literature. Thanks to our committed and competent booksellers, you can expect a particularly high quality of advice in the Celtic bookstore.
