What makes us unique 1. RESEARCH We believe in developing products based on primary and applied research on verified benefits and clinical efficacy. With our research partners, we investigate the clinical benefits of natural ingredients in relation to skin biochemistry. 2. NATURAL INGREDIENTS After research, we identify natural active ingredients that are skin and environmentally friendly, in order to make products with as high of a natural content as possible while still being effective and safe. All packaging communicates the exact percent of natural ingredients that are in each formula. The ingredients come from: - Medicinal Herbs: Ingredients inherited from our pharmacy days - Greek Flora: Greece has bountiful endemic flora that has evolved to grow in Greece’s unique environment - Food: Beneficial ingredients with advanced skincare properties - Natural Actives: Extracts found with proven efficacy through research carried out by the KORRES Research & Development Lab 3. INGREDIENTS WE AVOID MINERAL OIL / PETROLATUM / PARAFIN WAX SILICONES PARABENS PROPYLENE GLYCOL ETHANOLAMINES PEGs 4. PHARMACEUTICAL-GRADE WATER Water is one of the most significant ingredients in skincare formulations. The cosmetics industry recommends the use of water with conductivity of up to 4.3 microsiemens/cm; at KΟRRES, we use USP (United States Pharmacopeia) grade water with conductivity of 0.8 microsiemens/cm – over 5 times more pure than what is actually required – even more pure than European pharmaceutical guidelines. Driven by our obsession with quality, we have created a water-purification plant within our production plant aiming to produce the highest quality water for our formulations. 5. ECO-FRIENDLY BUSINESS - Cultivation: Our goal is to protect and promote Greece’s natural flora. Our KORRES agriculturalists select the ideal cultivation region for each herb based on climate and soil criteria while at the same time working towards protecting endangered herbs and sustaining plant populations. - Our certified plant [ISO 14001:2004], implements over 20 environmental management programs throughout production, packaging and storage - including water, energy and waste management – in a continuous effort to minimize its environmental impact. 6. CRUELTY-FREE PRACTICES We are strictly against animal testing, and do not test any ingredients or products on animals, nor do we hire outside companies to do so for us at any stage in production. All our tests are performed in the lab either in vitro (using synthetic skin cells) or on human volunteers under the surveillance of a dermatologist or specialty doctor, i.e. an ophthalmologist. We do not sell to any countries that require animal testing, and we follow the European Union's strict legislation that bans animal testing on finished cosmetic products and their ingredients.
