All of Puglia is a springboard on the sea. From the central plateau of the Murgia the territory slopes gently towards the Adriatic and Ionian seas, receiving from them the cool evening breeze that contrasts the summer heat accumulated during the day. The geological conformation is composed of Cretaceous limestone several kilometers thick in which the action of rainwater has created impressive forms of karst, underground caves and rivers that flow at great depth. Our vineyards rest on a few meters of earth and sink their roots in the cracks of the underlying rock where they find water and mineral salts. The plateau, which reaches the highest point at over 600 m. slm., is the ideal place to cultivate the vineyard and the particular geographical configuration allows to have the optimal conditions for the cultivation of wine grapes, which require a lot of sun, significant temperature changes and little water rich in dissolved salts.
