Located in the center near Piazza SS. Annunziata, for years we have been carrying out the purchase and sale of USED and NEW books, offering each customer the possibility of coping with the purchase of school books according to their own financial resources. Via Laura has always been known as one of the historic second-hand bookstores in Florence; known a little to everyone for the wide availability of school and university books that can be found there, it is mentioned at least two or three times a year in the city newspapers. The constant request from our customers for the availability of new books has led us in recent years to expand the library by adding to the existing structure a new large hall connected to the historic shop where you can book and collect new books. This has allowed us to divide the ranks of the new and used and to offer a more adequate service. With us the booking of the books takes place in a classic way, with the presentation of the list, the delivery of the available books and the booking of the missing ones. In the next step, however, we introduced a new element that was very appreciated by our customers, the status of the ordered books can in fact be controlled from the comfort of home via an internet service which, constantly updated, shows the situation of the list. This allows those who are away to check from home when the list is complete and come and collect everything only once, avoiding constant phone calls to the bookstore and empty trips. Having two people who supply texts from local distributors on a daily basis, barring unforeseen unavailability by the publisher, we are able to complete the list in a reasonably short time (last year's average was about a week). To the store managed by Enrico Stefano and Francesco in Florence since 2014, a new store has been added in the center of Pistoia managed by Gianfranco and Alessandro. Also in this store, the business of buying and selling used school books is the main activity to which, however, a well-stocked stationery department has been added.
