Matthäus Steffner

The knitwear production company STEFFNER was founded in 1928 and is currently managed in the third generation by Ing.Matthew Steffner as managing partner. Since then, high-quality knitwear has been designed, developed and produced in Altenmarkt in the state of Salzburg. The traditional company STEFFNER carries with STEFFNER-Country a collection in the style of cultivated country house and traditional knitwear, with STEFFNER-Fashion a sporty knitwear collection for winter sports and fashion, as well as an attractive knitted hat collection for autumn / winter. The design under the influence of the latest international fashion trends and the development of the high-quality STEFFNER knitting models for the STEFFNER-Country and STEFFNER-Fashion collections takes place at the production site in Altenmarkt im Pongau in the state of Salzburg. STEFFNER knitwear is available internationally in the best country, fashion and sports shops. STEFFNER took second place in the Austrian Export Prize 1994 in the trade category and received a certificate of recognition for extraordinary success on foreign markets from the Austrian Federal Minister for Economic Affairs.
