Mio Concept Store

MIO was born from a passion: the love for research, beautiful things and designer design by Antje d'Almeida, a sophisticated and cosmopolitan traveler of German origin who landed in Florence 15 years ago. An avant-garde concept store, opened from October in the central Via della Spada, MIO has immediately become the refined meeting point between local and international creativity, design and art, in an atmosphere full of inspiration, lively and engaging that refers to capital search stores such as Paris or New York. Sustainability, creativity, elegance and a pinch of sense of humor are the criteria from which Antje's scouting work starts, which explains: “The philosophy of MIO is well exemplified in the concept of accessibility, in design as in art. For example, we have undertaken an interesting collaboration with CLET, a French naturalized Florentine artist who reinterprets road signs in an original and ironic way. The philosophy of accessibility also stimulates creativity on the design front. In fact, MIO offers furniture made of recycled paper, stools and tables made from old fuel barrels ... ”MIO concept store is a small wonderland, truly one of a kind.
