MISTER MINIT

Donald Hillsdon Ryan, an American, walked with his wife in 1957 on the Brussels Grand-Place where she broke her stiletto heel on the cobblestones. He hatched a plan to open shops where shoe repairs could be carried out immediately for a rushed clientele. The concept of the minute service was born. In the same year he opened the first Talon Minute shop in the large Brussels supermarket "au Bon Marché". The MINIT group quickly expanded its range of services: key duplication, engraving, stamping, watch and smartphone repairs… Today, the group has grown into a European player, active with more than 1,200 stores in the Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. In the Benelux, MINIT has approximately 100 stores and operates 2 specialized retail chains: MISTER MINIT and MONTRE Service (watch repair).
