It all started at the beginning of 1999: Oliver Lederle, a young management consultant and father of a small daughter, has an idea: Parents should be able to buy inexpensive and uncomplicated toys and products for their children via the internet, a "wonder medium" that was new at the time. Together with four friends, Oliver Lederle developed a business plan in the summer of 1999, looked for and found financiers and investors, founded a GmbH and after just a few months, in October 1999, opened the shop www.myToys.de.
