The story begins when wine was drunk on site, in cabarets or wine shops. And if you wanted to drink it at home, you had to go to a wine merchant or directly to the producer to buy a barrel! It was on the basis of this observation that Louis Nicolas invented a new concept for the sale of wine which was to revolutionize all consumption and trading habits: bottled wine.
