Ortigia

The whole Ortigia collection is inspired by plants found in Sicily, and is created using typically Sicilian natural products. Ortigia can be found in exclusive shops in Italy, in London, New York, Paris and in many other parts of the world. Ortigia is a small company of essences and perfumes, located in Florence. It was founded in Sicily in 2006 by Sue Townsend. Our luxurious collection of soaps, perfumes, creams, candles and lotions is formulated using natural ingredients indigenous to Sicily, and is inspired by the beauties, colors and scents of the most tropical and ancient region of Italy. Our perfumes are made to measure for us by one of the most famous Italian perfumers in the world. They are distilled directly from the Sicilian flora. The basis of all products is natural; perfume and ingredients: olive oil, vegetable glycerin and organic colors. Entirely paraben-free. They are all manufactured by small family businesses that pride themselves on the quality of their productions. The packaging is entirely designed by Sue Townsend. It is very decorative and based on exotic images and unique colors found in Sicily. The boxes are handmade using silver foil and the writings are embossed. The glass jars and bottles are decorated with evocative prints of leopards and palm trees. Ortigia is a privately owned Italian soap and scent company founded in Sicily in 2006 by Sue Townsend. The luxurious range of soaps, scents, creams, candles and lotions are formulated using natural products indigenous to Sicily and inspired by the aesthetics, colors and scents of Italy's most historic and tropical region. The perfumes are distilled from the flowers of Sicily by master perfumer, Lorenzo Villoresi. The base of all the products is natural perfume and natural ingredients: olive oil, vegetable glycerine, and organic colors. Paraben-free, the range uses traditional products with modern ethics and integrity. All Ortigia products are made by small family companies who pride themselves on the quality of their products. The highly decorative packaging is designed by Sue Townsend and draws on exotic Sicilian images and colors.
