Ottica Ottomano Gianvito

The history of Ottoman Optics Gianvito has its roots in 1971, when the very young Gianvito begins to work in the summer at his uncle's optics shop, learning the first notions of what would later become an authentic passion. Gianvito, with a natural predisposition to relationships with people, passes from the simplest to the most technical jobs deepening, almost without realizing it, the specific knowledge of lenses, shades, and the first rudiments of measurement. Thus, wishing to give an effective preparation to his embryonic approach to the visual world, he enrolled at the National Institute of Optics in Vinci (FI), where he graduated in 1978, laying the foundations for his future. Despite his young age, he is driven by the awareness that realizing one's dreams is possible only if one gets involved, also thanks to the input of a dear family friend and the support of the latter, on March 5, 1980 he opens in Sammichele di Bari his first shop with simple but high-impact furnishings, created by dear Arch. Pastore 26 / In 2004, the figure of Elena, a precious collaborator, appeared in the company and immediately became a further point strength of the company. In 2010 the professionalism built on reliability and transparency is consolidated with the entry into the company of Domi, who graduated in Optics and Optometry at the University of Lecce, confirming that passion generates passion, as well as enrichment of knowledge and different approaches through knowledge of a new generation. Today the shop is equipped with modern instruments for visual analysis, computerized centering and assisted choice of the frame through images, as well as a wide range of innovative products that allow you to find individual solutions for customers.
