Railowsky

The Railowsky bookstore is a bookstore specialized in image and communication books. Its main section is photography, with art, cinema, design, illustration, journalism, image and sound, poetry and a children's book with quality illustrations being also important. It also has a small section of highly selected narrative and essay books, trying to avoid bestsellers. We are currently serving the Fernando Monar Mañez bookstore since 2003 and Juan Pedro Font de Mora Busutil since its foundation in 1985. Since the beginning, countless cultural activities have been carried out. Book presentations, poetic evenings, talks and colloquia, round tables, photography exhibitions, film shows, music concerts, ... In 2006 we were awarded the Generalitat Valenciana prize for the Diffusion of the book and the promotion of the reading, in 2007 we were finalists for the Cultural Bookstore award granted by CEGAL and last year we were awarded a special mention within the same award. At Railowsky, the commercial work, essential to maintain a business, is as important as the cultural dissemination that the bookstore has been carrying out without interruption for almost 25 years. It is the most romantic but at the same time the most rewarding part of our profession.
