Rossmann

As the inventor of the pharmacy in Germany, Dirk Rossmann opened the first “pharmacy market” in Hanover in 1972. To this day, Dirk Rossmann GmbH is an international, owner-managed family company, majority owned by the Rossmann family. In addition, the global AS Watson Group owns 40% of the company. The company is based in Burgwedel near Hanover. The ROSSMANN group of companies with 56,300 employees in Europe and 4,244 branches, including 2,233 in Germany, is one of the largest pharmacy chains in Europe. In 2020, the ROSSMANN Group generated sales of EUR 10.35 billion in Germany, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Albania, Kosovo, Spain and Turkey.
