The Bike Shed

The Bike Shed set up in a shipping container in 2011 and has grown steadily since. We are now in our fourth premises. The original idea was to save bikes from landfill centers and get them back on the road. We have gone from there to providing top quality service in bike sales, repair, service and hire. Our goal is to get more people cycling for fitness and transport. We focus on quality in what we sell and repair. We believe in customer service and want to provide a friendly atmosphere where you can discuss all things bike-related. From bikes for the two-year-old wobbler to the pro athlete and everyone in between, we have no favorites but nothing beats getting a wobbler pedaling for the first time! We still thrive on being eco-friendly. Our cardboard goes to gardening projects. Many of our tyres go into amazing sculptures by Mick Davis. We up-cycle waste and drive train parts into craft pieces like wind chimes. We insist that all of our waste is divided up correctly into what’s recyclable and only what absolutely must goes to landfill.
