Our history began in 1976. It started when our founder Anita Roddick opened a small green store in Brighton because she believed in something revolutionary: business is a force for good. In over 40 years of campaigning, creating change and breaking standards in the beauty industry, one thing is certain: we have never been a regular beauty company and we never will be: welcome to The Body Shop.
