The LEGO Group is a privately owned family company founded in 1932 in Billund, Denmark. The name LEGO® consists of two letters in the Danish words "LEG" and "GODT", which means "fun while playing". On January 28, 1958, the company patented its famous parts concept. Since then, all LEGO system parts (classic LEGO bricks) have been manufactured according to the dimensions specified in this patent. The first minifigure was produced a little later, in 1978. To date, over 5 billion LEGO figures have been produced, making them the largest population in the world! Speaking of the best, the motto of our company is: "Only the best is good enough".
