The company's roots go back to 1949. At that time, as a result of the bark beetle disaster between Oberhof, Zella-Mehlis and Erlau, the outdated forestry inventory of vehicles, machines and equipment, in particular the two-man chain saws from the Wehrmacht estate, had to process around 1.8 million cubic meters of broken windwood repaired and maintained and the forest workers and helpers familiarized with this technology. Since then, the former forestry machine workshop has been considered a competent service partner for forest technology among foresters in Thuringia and also in the state forestry operations of the GDR
