Wittmann the family has accumulated experience in the field of viticulture for more than 350 years. While traditions in that time will certainly have time to emerge, if to some extent, the current generation, led by Philipp Wittmann, has not been left in place to tread. Since 1990, the farm has been in organic farming and since 2004 fully biodynamic. Biodynamic cultivation at Wittmann does not mean a fanatical belief in cosmic forces, but rather a focus on detail and an uncompromising artisan approach to winemaking. Changes in farming philosophy and the consequent increase in horticultural work have been reflected in the quality of the wines, and today Wittmann is one of the world's elites. Every column and barrel is treated as best and the winemaking is intuitive.
