We are happy to support you in importing your vehicle to Austria. However, there are a few things to keep in mind when importing one yourself. We recommend that you read the following information carefully to avoid an unpleasant surprise that spoils the joy of your new motorcycle. Due to different legal regulations, when importing your own vehicle, you must first differentiate whether the vehicle to be imported is a used or a new vehicle. With regard to the registration of vehicles, all vehicles that did not have an EU registration - regardless of the mileage - are considered new vehicles (from a financial point of view there are different regulations that are of secondary importance for the registration). Vehicles that have been registered with a transfer number plate are considered registered vehicles. Vehicles that have never been registered in the EU are considered new vehicles.
